Brisbane weather: Coldest start to winter in more than a decade
BRISBANE residents have woken to their coldest start to winter in more than a decade, with near-freezing temperatures recorded across the region.
The coldest temperature recorded across the state this morning was in Oakey, in the Darling Downs, where the town recorded their coldest start to June on record with minus 2.8C.
The mercury also dipped to 10.2C in the River City, a chilly 0.5 degrees in Ipswich and 8.1C at the Brisbane Airport.
