Virgin flight from Brisbane makes emergency landing in Newcastle
A VIRGIN Australia flight from Brisbane to Sydney has been forced to make an emergency landing.
Flight VA938 departed Brisbane about 10am and was due to land in Sydney about 12.40pm, but was diverted to Newcastle about 90 minutes into the trip following the activation of a warning light in the cargo hold.
A Virgin spokeswoman said the cause of the light’s activation remains unknown and all passengers have been put on a bus to make the two-and-a-half-hour drive to Sydney.
