China 'concerned' about rising coronavirus cases in Australia
China is "concerned" about the rising number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Australia, but the country's consul general to NSW said Australia's travel ban on China was an overreaction and there were no plans to evacuate Chinese nationals if the virus intensifies here.
At a media briefing in Sydney on Wednesday, consul general H.E. Gu Xiaojie said the Chinese government had managed the coronavirus crisis well, buying the rest of the world time to prepare, and has been transparent with the spread of information.
