Rally organisers fined as weekend's planned protests stoke virus fears

Three organisers of last Saturday's Black Lives Matter protest in Melbourne have been hit with $1652 fines as rallies against the detention of refugees look set to go ahead on the weekend despite health authority warnings.

On Friday the Australian Medical Association urged anyone who attended last week's march to self-isolate immediately after a man who attended the protest tested positive for coronavirus.
