Children are playing outside more after program helps kids reclaim neighbourhood
In this Queensland street, getting children to "play where they live" is proving to be the secret to getting youngsters moving more and stepping away from their devices.
Over the past six months, up to 23 children have played on a street in Woodridge as part of Logan Together's Neighbourhood Play Network Program.
The street play program aims to help children boost their physical activity, self-esteem and social skills by encouraging them to play outdoors in an effort to address sedentary modern childhoods.
