Thick layer of fog creates hazardous conditions for Brisbane commuters

A thick layer of fog blanketed Brisbane and threatened to cause peak hour delays for commuters this morning.

Queensland's Bureau of Meteorology issued a road weather alert for dangerous driving conditions in the city.

The widespread fog affected road conditions from Brisbane through to Ipswich.
