Police may have found car from violent Brisbane attack 720km away
The stolen car used in a violent north Brisbane attack may have been found by police 720 kilometres from the scene of that crime.
Police were investigating a possible sighting of the car at Marlborough, north of Rockhampton, on Friday afternoon.
Two men, one of Asian and one of Caucasian appearance, then followed the 19-year-old girl home after her shift at Chermside Shopping Centre.
Police say the Caucasian man got out of the car and demanded her keys before beating her with a gun, and firing a shot. When the woman's father came out of the house to his daughter's aid, he was threatened with a gun and knocked to the ground when the stolen Mazda reversed into him.
